Shooting guns with chefs is a thing at this Fort Worth Food + Wine Foundation October fundraiser

The Fort Worth Food + Wine Foundation is hosting it’s second annual Shooting with the Chefs fundraiser, a clay shooting event where your team of four is paired with celebrity chefs, restaurateurs and brewmasters, with proceeds from the event supporting local grant programs and culinary scholarships.

Each team of four shooters has to include two adults and two students (6th grader through 12th). Registration costs $600 per team ($25/person if you’re coming to watch your favorite shooter and includes lunch). Awards go to the Top Team, 1st and 2nd place Middle School Students, and 1st & 2nd place to the best high school student shooter. Everyone not shot gets an event hat and lunch from Del Norte Tacos.

The Oct. 16 event kicks off at 10 AM at Defender Outdoors Clay Shooting Ranch.

Here’s the lineup of participating chefs:

Jenny Castor, Luckybee Kitchen

Chris Garcia, Del Norte Tacos
