Exclusive: Bob Sambol, a top purveyor of prime steaks, opens another steakhouse in DFW
When I wrote in USA Today that the original location of Bob’s Steak and Chop House on Lemmon Avenue was one of the best steakhouse experiences in DFW, much of that praise goes to owner and founder Bob Sambol. He’s among the best restaurateurs in Dallas. And now he’s instantly among the best in McKinney, too.
Sambol confirms he will open another location of Bob’s next Friday, June 2, at District 121, a $250 million mixed-use development taking shape at Alma Rd and Hwy. 121 in McKinney. It will be the second under Sambol’s management and the 15th for the brand, which Sambol no longer owns. The 250-seat restaurant will be open for dinner nightly except Sundays.
Founded by Bob Sambol in 1993, Bob’s Steak and Chop House is a well-respected name in the steakhouse world with locations across the United States
The McKinney location will feature the same menu and upscale experience that has made Sambol’s Lemmon Ave. location a favorite among steak lovers, but adds a 25-seat cigar room adjacent to the dining room. The development will also be home to other popular restaurants like The Common Table, which is slated to open late next month, plus Mi Cocina, Snooze and 400 Gradi as those restaurants complete construction this summer.
