Kent Rathbun‘s barbecue concept moves from the Katy Trail to Klyde Warren Park
Kent Rathbun has influenced the Dallas food scene for over 25 years, starting with restaurants like Abacus and Jasper’s, and now with Rathbun’s Curbside BBQ. The semi-permanent barbecue outlet began during the pandemic, offering smoked meats to customers seeking quality food in difficult times. After operating along the Katy Trail, Rathbun has now relocated to Klyde Warren Park, where the service is available Thursday through Sunday beginning 8 a.m. until 8 p.m.
Klyde Warren Park, located between Uptown and Downtown, provides a community space featuring the largest collection of food trucks in DFW, complemented by live music, movie nights, and various activities. Rathbun’s Curbside BBQ adds high-quality meats and sides to the park’s offerings, suitable for park enjoyment or takeaway.
The menu includes popular items like pecan-smoked wagyu beef ribs, beef tenderloin, brisket, jalapeño-cheddar sausages, smoked turkey breast, and cedar plank salmon. Sides such as aged gouda mac and cheese, baked potato salad, granny smith apple cole slaw, and maple brown sugar baked beans complement the mains. Breakfast tacos are also available early in the morning.
