Scotland Reminding Golfers to Trek to St. Andrews in July for 150th Open Championship

Been to Scotland recently? Jim Mather wants you back.
Even if you’re not bringing $1.6 Billion like Donald Trump.
Mather is the Scottish Government’s Minister of Tourism, and when the Minister of Tourism from the Home of Golf calls, we listen.
Okay, so it was just the Minister of Tourism’s people who called. But they were emphatic that the Minister himself wants us to know that, come July, the world’s greatest golfers will be playing the 150th Open Championship where it all began: the Old Course at St. Andrews.
“Scotland is the ultimate destination for golfers from across the world,” Mather told a NYC crowd a couple of weeks ago during a sweep through Manhattan.
If you’re thinking about attending the Open (aka the British Open) in July, a few operators, including Perry Golf, have some six-night, seven-day packages to consider, available from July 11-19.
