Chef’s Table: Orvieto, Italy is on the Menu at Art Institute Fund Raising Dinner

<p>Mark your calendar for Friday, March 5, when you can take a virtual trip to Orvieto, Italy as you enjoy a five-course authentic Italian dinner and wine for a mere $60 per person.

The dinner starts at 7:30 pm and takes place at the Chef’s Gallery Restaurant at the Art Institute Culinary School. Chef Lorenzo Polegri of the famed Zeppelin Ristorante will host the dinner, and proceeds benefit a scholarship program for Art Institute Culinary School students.

Chef Polegri runs an internationally recognized culinary school at Zeppelin where students can experience authentic Italian restaurant life, working side by side with professionals. At the school, students use the proper equipment and fresh ingredients from the local market as they learn English or Italian, with field trips to food producers in Rome and Florence.

Vicky Ardaya, manager of the Chef’s Gallery, says proceeds from the event are used to send students on work trips to gain experience in kitchens around the world.

The dinner is a rare opportunity to get an authentic taste of Italy at a great price while helping culinary students with their advanced studies. You must make reservations by March 4 by calling (469) 587-1276.

The Chef’s Gallery is located at 8080 Park Lane in Dallas behind the large glass Art Institute building.
