Brackets, New Sports Bar / Restaurant, Going Into Kimpton Palomar Hotel

A sleuthy restaurant insider told us that a new, upscale sports themed restaurant and bar with “a gaming area for adults” is slated to open in the Hotel Palomar this fall.

Adult gaming. Hmmm. A pole? A sports book? Poker? Nope…Wii. Yep, Wii. (What?? No Twister? No Beer Pong? Weird, right?)

The food might be an afterthought, though, at least from what I can tell.  Our sleuth, who wants to remain unnamed but has a nose for these things, says, “It’s supposed to be chef-driven, but they haven’t hired a chef yet.”

Besides, who feels like eating at a place called Brackets after a round of Wi with your adult friends in the adult gaming area. Wouldn’t you rather eat something naughty?
