Hot Date: Sunday, April 29: Chefs on Fire “block party” to support Parkland Burn Unit

Support the Parkland Regional Burn Center and feed your face at the same time.

The third annual Chefs on Fire is Sunday, April 29, from 10 am till 6 pm at the Shops at Park Lane. Billed as a giant block party — with firetrucks and helicopters for the young ones and food for the rest, Chefs on Fire raises both awareness and funds for the burn center, the nation’s second largest (and its best).

The Texas Chefs Association teams up with area firefighters in a series of chef/firefighter cooking competitions, with the eventual champs winning $1000.
