Big Tex, State Fair of Texas mascot, becomes Burning Man

Big Tex became Burning Man a few minutes before 11 a.m. today, celebrating the last weekend of the Texas State Fair in Aggie Bonfire fashion. (Who knew Tex was an Aggie? Well, he did wear those Dickies pants and that tacky shirt, so there’s that.)

A State Fair spokesperson says the fire seems to have started in Tex’s head, possibly from an electrical malfunction, or maybe too much social media exposure.

If anyone sees a size 400×1600 pair of Wranglers or Dickies on Ebay, might let the Fair know.
