The Weather Looks Cruel for McCallister’s and Romano’s Copper River Fishing Expedition This Week

A friend sends word that Alaska’s Copper River is not looking kind for chefs Matthew McCallister’s and Scott Romano’s visit for opening day of the commercial fishing season tomorrow. (Good thing John Tesar already got his fish)

“Weather conditions are UGLY! Expect to see 40+ knot winds and high seas which will hamper fishing conditions significantly. Although there may be some fish, expect to see the following opener to be the first producing fishery. (Not yet determinded, but most likely Monday May 20).”

And I know Jon Alexis has Columbia River chinook salmon springers in his TJ’s Seafood store that are even tastier than Coppers.
