Quick Bytes: Becks Prime to close Greenville Avenue store today, Good Eats to close Turtle Creek spot on July 17, & Hard Rock Cafe intros new menu items

Becks Prime will close their Greenville Avenue location in Dallas on June 30th (“The area was not a good fit for our concept and the flow of traffic was not as we had expected,” writes company president Molly Voorhees), but the  two other Dallas locations are doing fine and will remain open. (We liked the Highland Park area store a lot.)

Good Eats says they will shutter their Turtle Creek area store on July 17, despite reports that the store is profitable and busy. Lincoln Property Company, which owns Turtle Creek Village, is redeveloping the center and plans to put retail in the space currently occupied by Good Eats.

And if that’s not enough to digest today, The Hard Rock Cafe people wrote to say they’ve revamped their menu, “redesigning items to better satisfy guests.” No better way to satisfy those worldly guests than to add a grilled chicken arugula salad, nachos with queso, a new grilled veggie sandwich, carrot cake and molten lava cake, all of which no one has ever eaten anywhere else, so that will be fun.
