Pizza Hut expects to sell 1,200 tons of pizza during the Super Bowl. Guess how many Zoli’s and Cane Rosso expect to sell

sends word today that they expect to sell two million pizzas and five million wings during the Super Bowl, with the largest share of orders phoning in around 4 p.m.

In case you’re wondering, that’s 1,200 tons of pizza and Pizza Hut’s busiest day of the year.

Jay Jerrier, the owner of Zoli’s and Cane Rosso, told me he expects to sell “just under two million” pizzas and turn in early.

“We are closing all locations at 3 pm. Most people just do house parties with crappy pizza!”

(BTW, the pizzas pictured above are from my visit to Bianco Pizzeria in Phoenix last week.)
