Jose restaurant and chef AQ hosting pop-up dinner series with guest chefs from Oaxaca and Guadalajara

Jose restaurant chef Anastacia Quiñones is taking her skillful Mexican cooking on the road – though she’s not leaving to go anywhere.

Instead, the road show will come to her.

AQ (as her friends call her) and Jose are launching a series of guest chef pop-up dinners that bring Mexico to Dallas. Details aren’t quite ready to be released, but Jose says they’ll be flying notable guest chefs in from sort-of-far-away places like Houston and Guadalajara to cook alongside AQ for an LTO, one-night-only dinner.

The series kicks off Monday, September 16 with a 7 p.m. dinner presented by AQ and Houston chef (and Hugo Ortega protege) Beatriz Martines. The menu will be a surprise to the 32 diners who attend (but hopefully not to Martines, who plans to cook dishes from her native Oaxaca) and includes cocktails, tequila or wine pairings for $100.
