Former Wolfgang Puck chef will lead the kitchen at a fancy, new Deep Ellum restaurant
An incredibly talented Wolfgang Puck veteran will lead a new restaurant opening early next year in Deep Ellum.
Jacob Williamson ran the show at Five Sixty by Wolfgang Puck high atop Reunion Tower prior to 560’s demise earlier this year. Now the Puck protégé has joined the crew at restaurateur Imran Sheikh’s Milkshake Concepts (Stirr, Vidorra, Citizen, Serious Pizza) to lead the kitchen at their new globally inspired restaurant called Harper’s.
When it opens in The Epic building next January or February, expect Harper’s menu to include sushi, prime steaks and dishes that cross borders and styles with flair. The Epic also houses the Pittman Hotel and the restaurant Elm & Good, where Graham Dodds is chef.
Williamson and Rodman Shields – Milkshake’s culinary director and among the area’s most sought-after concept chefs – confirmed the Haper’s news, though Williamson said he was unable to comment further until next week.
Milkshake is also nearing the end of construction on another of its concepts, Vidorra, which is set to debut next month at 5100 Beltline Rd. in Addison. The restaurant sits a stone’s throw from sister concept Stirr.
