Arlington’s #SaveTheTacos Contest Brings 24 Limited-Time Creations to the Table Through September

Arlington’s tacos are having their celebrity moment. From August 19 through September 30, twenty-four local restaurants will unveil limited-time specialty tacos for the fourth annual #SaveTheTacos campaign. Each taco is a contender in the race to be named Arlington’s Favorite Taco.

The event is organized by the Arlington Convention & Visitors Bureau and was created as a fun way to address the nearly billion hours of vacation time Americans leave unused each year. The idea is simple: take a break, enjoy a great meal, and vote for the taco that wins your heart.

To join in, order one of the featured tacos and cast your vote online. Each order counts as a vote, and you can vote once per person per day. Diners who post photos of their tacos on social media and tag @visitarlington with #SaveTheTacos are also entered into drawings for prizes that include tickets to Six Flags, Go Ape!, Ripley’s Believe It or Not!, game cards for Alley Cats, and campaign merchandise.

This year’s lineup is the largest yet, with past champions mixing it up alongside first-time competitors:

Amore Mio Trattoria

Beaux Boudin

Cake-aholics Bakery

Churro On Top

Cup o’ Vibes

Cut & Bourbon

Egg Bar Brunch

Grounds & Gold (2023 Winner)

Home Plate at Texas Rangers Golf Club

Tom’s Burgers & Grill (2024 Winner)

Ventana Grille at Tierra Verde Golf Course (2022 Winner)

The contest wraps up September 30 when the taco with the highest number of votes takes the title and a spot in Arlington’s food history. This is a celebration of flavor and creativity, so don’t let these tacos disappear without casting your vote.
