New Restaurant Set to Open: Wildwood Grill

<p>In Southlake, Wildwood Grill (2700 East Southlake Blvd) opens this weekend in the fully renovated space formerly inhabited by Southlake Tavern and, before that, Big Bowl. The 250-seat Wildwood Grill will focus on rustic, unfussy food, much of it cooked over an oak- and hickory-fired grill. The food is said to be rustic: hanger steak, grilled salmon, pizzas, salads.  According to one assistant manager, look for entrees to stay below $20.

The Wildwood Grill is the brainchild of Dave Garner, a Fish City Grill franchisee with Brinker experience. Blake Barfknech, formerly a chef at Ama Lur, will lead the kitchen.
