Les Dames d’Escoffier Charity Dine-Around Tickets on Sale Now

I’ve been a member of the Dallas Chapter of Les Dames d’Escoffier since 1993.  We’re a group of women on the cutting edge of our fields – food, wine and fine beverages, and hospitality.  What’s really special about our group is its commitment to helping women who are starting out in these fields and helping them achieve their goals.

The group has raised more than $1 million for deserving women.  The monies we raise benefit our scholarship programs and endowments at five colleges and universities in Texas.  And it’s great to see the women we support graduate and gain momentum in their careers.

Our big annual fundraiser is the Raiser Grazer, one of the original Dallas “dine-arounds.” It’s open to the public, and we’d like to invite you to join us at The Fashion Industry Gallery (F.I.G.) in Dallas on Sunday, February 28, from 6-9 p.m. for our 21st Raiser Grazer.  This year’s theme is “Women Stars of Wine & Food,” and will feature some real wine and food celebrities:  California’s Joy Sterling (Iron Horse Vineyards), Dolores Cakebread  (Cakebread Cellars), Janet Trefethen (Trefethen Family Vineyards), Robin Lail, Lail Vineyards,  Amelia Ceja, Ceja Vineyards and Kathryn Hall (Hall Wines), as well as our own Texas wine ladies –  Susan Auler (Fall Creek Vineyards), Gina Puente-Brancato (La Buena Vida Vineyards and La Bodega Wineries), and Caris Turpen (Lightcatcher Winery).

In addition to tasting wines, you’ll be able to taste dishes from more than 20 female chefs and culinary professionals.

Gloria Campos, a news anchor at WFAA-TV, will be the Master of Ceremonies for the evening.

Come meet the stars of wine and food and see what our group is all about!

Advance tickets to the Les Dames Raiser Grazer cost $45 (until February 26) and can be purchased online at www.LDEDallas.org.  After February 26, tickets will cost $50, or you can purchase your $50 ticket at the door on February 28.

Liz Baron and her husband Jim own Blue Mesa Grill and are co-owners of Zinsky’s Delicatessen & Catering Co.
