Next Saturday: Sample 16 World-Class Pinot Noirs with 4 Master Sommeliers
<strong>March Madness may be drawing to a close, but another intense rivalry extends into April as a group of Master Sommeliers go head-to-head in the Pinot Noir Tasting Challenge, another pre-Gala Cotes du Coeur event.
Master Sommeliers Drew Hendricks, Keith Goldston, Fred Dame and a surprise guest will pitch their personal favorite Pinot Noirs from around the world to the crowd of wine lovers attending the event. After listening to all the sommeliers, the audience will choose the winner—it’s sort of like American-Idol-meets-Robert-Parker.
Luckily, the observers don’t have to take the competitors at their word because they also get to sample the 16 wines in a blind tasting format.
Everyone at the event will be seeing red (wine, that is), and it promises to be a wild, good time. The Pinot Tasting Challenge takes place Saturday, April 10, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Pappas Bros. Steakhouse, 10477 Lombardy Lane in Dallas. The cost is $125 per person, and the benefits go toward the American Heart Association. You can register at this link.
Cotes du Coeur benefits the American Heart Association, and the Gala event will be held at the Hilton Anatole on April 10. For more Cotes du Coeur information, visit www.dallaswineauction.com.
