Bailey’s Prime Plus is Open in Fort Worth

<p>Bailey’s Prime Plus seems to have hit its stride. Now with four locations open and buzzing at dinner (the Fort Worth location opened last week in the new West 7th development), owner and former McDonalds magnate Ed Bailey is proving he can build a fine dining empire with as much dispatch as he demonstrated with his 63 MickeyD’s. (Bailey is opening a new Patrizio–a concept Bailey purchased from restaurateur Jack Knox a few years ago–down the block).

The newest BPP is a scaled-down version of the Park Lane flagship. Yep, a water garden and those trees run down the center spine of

the dining room, and the over-the-top decor feels like the Dallas resto, but there’s no missing that the FW outpost is half the size. Still, if you like the Dallas Bailey’s, there’s no reason you should dislike its western sibling.

Haven’t yet made it to the mothership? There’s a wine dinner April 7 that might entice you to give it a try. If you’re a fan of Napa fruit bombs, you’ll like Cakebread’s wines. And Bailey’s chef Israel “Izzy” Voirin knows how to cook.
