State Fare: Sample the Best BBQ in All of Texas at Texas Monthly’s BBQ Festival

Yep, they did it.

Texas Monthly’s culinary crew stood on the line, pulled up their britches, and crowned Snow’s BBQ (in Lexington) the Best Cue in the State. Agree? Disagree?

Texas Monthly is giving you an easy opportunity to sample the goods of the winners of their exhaustive 2008 survey at their BBQ Festival in Austin, on Sunday, September 19.

At least twenty of the fifty bbq joints Texas Monthly Food Editor Pat Sharpe and her band of vagabond eaters crowned the best in the state will be sampling their wares in one place. Ribs, brisket, yard bird, pitmasters–they’ll all be there on the shores of Town Lake.

Tickets are only $15. Drinks are on you.

Here are the details, fresh off the TM press. Pop an extra Lipitor.
