New Morton’s Steakhouse Opening in Uptown Early Next Year

will be opening a 8,500 square foot restaurant in Uptown early next year, in Uptown Plaza at the corner of McKinney Avenue and Pearl Street. The new venue is across the street from the Rosewood Crescent Court and near the Ritz-Carlton Hotel.

That’s right down the street from an area of the city already speckled with great steakhouses, including Perry’s Steakhouse, Capital Grill, Nick & Sam’s, and the Place at Perry’s. No word yet on whether the original downtown Morton’s restaurant will remain open.

I’m a big fan of Morton’s, which I named one of Dallas top steakhouses in last month’s Modern Luxury Magazine. If you haven’t been in a while, check out this.

This news follows in the footsteps of another steakhouse, Vic & Anthony’s, planning to enter our market.

Morton’s has been scouting real estate in the Uptown area for a couple of years.

The new Morton’s is slated to seat 244.

Save a molten Godiva chocolate cake for me.
