Details on Il Cane Rosso Pizza’s Resto in Deep Ellum from Jay Jerrier

Jay Jerrier is planting the roots of his mobile Il Cane Rosso Neopolitan pizzeria in Deep Ellum, at 2612 Commerce Avenue. Il Cane Rosso currently tweets and Facebooks his itinerant location, with regular gigs at Times Ten Cellars in Ft. Worth on Tuesday nights and the Green Spot in Dallas on Thursday nights.

Jerrier told an EscapeHatch fan that he plans to have the full-service restaurant open by the end of the year, but it all hinges on the delivery of a specially built pizza oven from Uno Forno in Naples, Italy.

The oven is being constructed by Stefano Ferrara, who also built ovens used by such notables as Anthony Mangieri of Una Pizza Napoletana, chef Donatella Arpaia, and Brooklyn pizza emprassario Paulie Gee.
