“A Groupon for Guys” Just Launced Today: iDealGolfer.com

The Daily Deal Web coupon space got more crowded today.

Craig Rosengarden and my  friends at AvidGolfer Mazine have launched iDealGolfer.com, and if you’re a golfer, this is one Website you’re going to want to visit right now.

Like Groupon.com and a dozen other similar sites, you sign up for iDealGolfer.com, on their Website, and they send you a daily deal on a golf course in the area. “All the other daily coupon sites target women,” Rosengarden told me. “iDealGolfer.com offer guys discounts they won’t want to pass up on things they care about.”

He means golf. Not girls. Not booze. Not money. Golf.

Using group buying power and  AvidGolfer’s rabid fan base, Rosengarden and his team have locked up some amazing bargains for Dallas and Fort Worth golfers.  Every day will offer something different.  Today’s deal, for example, is a round of golf any time in November at Mansfield National Golf Course for only $20.  That’s basically half price. On Wednesday, Rosengarden says iDealGolfer.com will offer a round of golf at another area course for just five dollars.

Five dollars?  You can’t dig 18 holes in your own backyard for five dollars.

While Rosengarden won’t disclose which course it is,  he promises it will be one you want to play.

Currently, iDealGolfer.com only offers specials for the Dallas and Fort Worth areas, but Rosengarten says the site will start offering similar deals in the Texas Hill Country on December 1, followed by discounts in Houston, Colorado, and Phoenix soon after.

Oh, and  one other thing: Rosengarden says a well-known, three-lens sunglasses system designed for golfers will be the deal of the day sometime next week.  The price? Under $20.
