Eat Great Food, Raise Money for Culinary Scholarships at Stephan Pyles this Sunday Night

It’s the start of the Doing Good season, which means chef Stephen Pyles is about to get busy. Very busy.  He’s simply one of the most charitable chefs in town.

On Sunday, November 7, Pyles and the Wine & Food Foundation of Texas again join forces to host the 11th annual Stephen Pyles Celebrity Chef dinner at  Stephen Pyles’s eponymous restaurant. The money raised from $150 per-person ticket (tax and gratuity included) goes to fund the Stephen Pyles Culinary Scholarship.

An Iron Chef style cookoff each spring pits three culinary students chosen from applicants across the state in a competition to cook the best three-course menu utilizing a predetermined list of Texas ingredients.

This year’s winner, Keith Hildebrandt, a student at  Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in Austin, will join Pyles and five other guest chefs in the kitchen to prepare dinner for ticket holders.

In addition to Pyles and Hildebrandt, other chefs–all from Dallas– include Jeffrey Harris of Craft, Matt Rasso of Nobu, Tim Byers is Smoke, and Catherine Klapner from Dude, Sweet Chocolate.

A reception kicks off the evening at 6 pm. Dinner begins at 7. For reservations, call the Wine & Food Foundation of Texas, (512) 327–7555, or visit www.winefoodfoundation.org.
