Ssahm BBQ, New Dallas Food Truck, Hits Street Tomorrow
Ssahm BBQ (tag line: “come get ssahm”) begins service tomorrow, opening at 11:30 in the Arts District of downtown Dallas and serving their spin on trendy Korean ‘cue until there’s no more left to sel.. Ssahm will most often remain in the Arts District but has plans to roam the streets. (They’ll be anchored at the Shops at Legacy, in Plano, on June 23.)
Like Ssahm’s korean bbq brethren in other cities, the menu includes kalbi (bbq beef short ribs), ddak (chicken), daeji (spicy pork) and dubu (tofu), which become $3 tacos when wrapped inside a doubled-up corn tortilla stuffed with kimchi, cilantro, onions, red or green salsa and a sesame soy vinaigrette. Subbing a flour tortilla and add rice and cheese gets you a $7 burrito.
