Lisa Garza Taking Over Former Hector’s On Henderson Space

<strong>Lisa Garza has leased the Henderson Avenue restaurant space recently vacated by Hector’s on Henderson, EscapeHatch has learned.

“She signed the lease the day after Hector’s closed,” a restaurateur who asked to remain anonymous told me. “I tried to lease the space but the building’s owner said she had just leased it to Lisa” minutes earlier.

A custom apron designer and chef, Garza was a contestant on season four of The Next Food Network Star and is a former co-owner of Suze restaurant in Dallas. According to her Web site, she currently operates Lisa Garza Taste Studio and describes herself as a “chef, restaurateur, mother, and television personality.”

No word on what Garza plans to do there. A phone message went unreturned.
