Chef Garreth Dickey recently rolled out a new menu for Oak Lawn standard Dish, which I sampled last night. Flatbreads, small sharing plates and a weekly taco feature are among the stunners. (The tacos, in particular, are a steal at 2 bucks each during the daily happy hour, from 4p-6p, during which all the small plates are half price.)

The menu still includes execuchef Doug Brown‘s crispy-skin roasted chicken enriched with thyme, lemon, honey and chives. But don’t skip the new ahi tuna pica, a foursome of Asian-inflected won ton “chips” topped with currants, toasted almonds, flaked coconut and the spicy, floral tones of scotch bonnet chiles.
