Radar Range: East Hampton Sandwich Company Opening in Snider Plaza

east hampton has an east hampton feel--who would have guessed?

Is there anything that Alex Urrunaga and his Plan B design group don’t have a hand in? They’ve designed lots of the industrial-chic restaurants in Dallas (Bolsa, Chicken Scratch, Velvet Taco, the Ranch in Las Colinas, Whiskey Cake, just to name a few) and now Urrunaga’s created the look and feel for East Hampton Sandwich Company, opening in Snider Plaza on Wednesday.

When I first caught wind of the new ‘which spot a couple of weeks ago, the store was nowhere near ready. Now, owner Hunter Ponds, a Highland Park graduate, is set to roll out gourmet, house-cured meats, vegetarian options, even lobster rolls to the mostly SMU/Park Cities crowd.

On the menu:  short ribs, roast beast and spinach, asparagus and gruyere, soups, salads, plus beer and wine.
