It’s a big BBQ weekend in Dallas.

On Saturday, May 25, from 6 to 9 pm, author, blogger and Texas Monthly BBQ Editor Daniel Vaughn will be sharing his insights into Texas ‘cue  (and hawking his new book, The Prophets of Smoked Meat: A Journey Through Texas Barbecue) over brews and bbq at Four Corners Brewing, Pecan Lodge, Meshack’s and Lockhart Smokehouse will all be selling barbecue, so go hungry.

Then on Sunday, from 4 to 10 pm, pop by the Third Annual Brew-B-Q at Deep Ellum Brewing Company, where they’re partnering with Armadillo Ale Works on a bbq street party. Bands, special beers and Pecan Lodge BBQ. Tickets run $40 (general admission) and $60 (VIP, which is like a Disney fast pass and skates you to the front of the Pecan Lodge line).
