Old Parkland Reopens With Gambino Acosta as Chef

When the Old Parkland site reopens as an ultraluxe collection of office spaces on July 1, the rehabbed compound will have a restaurant run by a chef with an equally luxe resume: Gabino Acosta. An insider tells the Hatch that Acosta is returning to Dallas from Las Vegas, where he was the top chef at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel. Prior to that, Acosta was the chef at Trevi’s in the Omni Mandalay Las Colinas and worked beside chefs Patrick Mitchell (a great friend of EscapeHatch) and John Vasquez on a team that represented the U.S. in culinary competitions.
