Private Social Finally Closes

I’d been hearing the rumor for months: Private Social was about to close. Even before “Top Chef” contestant Tiffany Derry departed, word was that Carlson was going to assume the lease and convert the space into a TGI Fridays. At the closing table, though, the deal fell apart. So I was a bit surprised that the owners relaunched Private Social as PS, bringing chef Najat Kaanache aboard to revamp the concept. Barman Rocco Milano stayed to right the ship.

Sadly, the rebranding didn’t take.

“Last Night @PrivateSocial Was The Last service We Closed ready for New Adventures with Food Thanks To My Great Team,” Tweeted the chef through her Twitter feed, @NajatKaanache, this morning, confirming rumors that had swirled around Hatch HQ since last week that PS was on its last gasp.
