Mexican Sugar planning to open late October, hiring staff.
Mexican Sugar, the Latin-inspired restaurant we told you about from the creators of Whiskey Cake Kitchen & Bar and Velvet Taco, will debut this month in the Shops at Legacy in Plano. To open, Mexican Sugar needs to hire more than 140 people to staff the restaurant.
“Mexican Sugar is a concept unique to Dallas, and I think that locals will really take to it,” says Eric Justice, Managing Chef Partner, “We have developed a Central and South American menu with a basis in Mexican cuisine that will appeal to everyone, both young and old. Not to mention the tequila library showcases over 100 different tequilas, which is sure to keep guests coming back for more.”
The restaurant is looking for an enthusiastic group of experienced staff including servers, bar backs, hosts, food runners and server assistants. One year of full-service restaurant experience in the position being applied for is required, along with a passion for taking care of people. A TABC license or the ability to obtain one is necessary for servers and bartenders, and excellent oral communication skills are preferred.
