Chef Vijay Sadhu has left Pepper Smash Kitchen, may open solo venture

Chef Vijay has left Pepper Smash, the “cocktail kitchen” in the Shops at Legacy in Plano.

“He left last week,” a friendly Pepper Smash employee confirmed, adding that Sadhu is rumored to have a solo restaurant project under development “somewhere in the Bishop Arts District.” Sadhu, an acclaimed Indian chef who cooks acclaimed Indian food, worked with chef Stephan Pyles at Samar (which, incidentally, is also closed).  Sadhu left Samar to strike out on his own with Sutra, an Indian cuisine restaurant, which later closed then reopened as Pepper Smash.

We were unable to reach Sadhu for comment.
