Hopdoddy Burger Bar confirmed to EscapeHatch that the Austin-based burgermeister will open its McKinney Avenue location on June 2, spreading its magic burger potion (and those addictive adult milkshakes) to an area of Dallas already vibrating with good burgers and adult drinks.

Hopdoddy takes over the former Frankie’s Sports Bar. As in Hopdoddy’s other restaurants (Preston Center, Scottsdale, Austin), the McKinney Avenue menu includes a dozen burgers, including the Hatch favorite bison burger with blue cheese, Frank’s hot sauce and apple-smoked bacon. (Okay, so we also like the TRIPLE B Burger Special when it’s offered: Akaushi beef, bleu cheese, arugula, onion strings and bourbon-bacon-onion jam.)
