Chef Kent Rathbun’s Blue Plate Kitchen reopens as The Kitchen at 6130

Well, this is an early Festivus Miracle: Rather than reconcept with a new restaurant in the former Blue Plate Kitchen space in Preston Center, chef Kent Rathbun says he’s converted the spot into The Kitchen at 6130, a private event venue and catering kitchen for his Kent Rathbun Catering operations.

Rathbun says The Kitchen at 6130 “is well-equipped to host both social and business outings, including holiday parties, corporate events and receptions. From fresh and flavorful food to stylish décor, The Kitchen at 6130 will handle all the details so guests can enjoy their events stress-free.”

The Kitchen is hoping to capture holiday parties, accommodating up to 120 people when seated and 165 if merry-making while standing.

In a similar move earlier this year, Dee Lincoln revamped her Bubble Bar into a private event venue. ‘Tis about to be the season to be merry.
