Butcher Board opens today with porchetta sandwiches, bbq from chef Jon Thompson
The owners of Sugarbacon Proper Kitchen in McKinney are rolling out Butcher Board today, their new casual concept with porchetta sandwiches, meatloaf and braised chicken with salsa verde, cotija, avocado and cilantro the menu.
Located adjacent to Sugarbacon, owners Johnny Carros and chef Jon Thompson planned Butcher Block to focus on sandwiches.
“Our sandwiches mostly focus on large, hot roasts, that are hand carved to order,” Thompson says in a release. “When you walk into Butcher Board, the first thing you see are large cuts of juicy meat being sliced. We bring together many of the best aspects of a BBQ joint, a deli, and bakery.”
The menu also includes smoked brisket, pulled pork and turkey, all served on Village Bakery’s breads.
Sugarbacon opened one year ago today.
