Confirmed: Chef Anthony Bombaci has split with Proof + Pantry

Late today, a spokesman for Miserly Loves Company, the parent company of Proof + Pantry and Madrina, confirmed that Anthony Bombaci has resigned from Proof + Pantry, where he had served as chef for barely three months. We reported his departure here earlier today, noting that MLC had not responded to requests for confirmation.

“Bombaci decided not to make his stay a long-term one, and is no longer part of the Misery Loves Co. team,” a Misery Loves Company spokesman wrote in an email to Hatch HQ. “News of the departure comes after the recent appointment of Chicago-native, David Fingerman, as executive chef of Madrina.

In this case, it appears that Misery really does Love Company.
