The Halal Guys, Hopdoddy secretly expanding to Dallas suburbs 

When The Halal Guys debuts its first Dallas store tomorrow, expect tasty food, good values, super friendly employees… and possibly a long line.

The New York City-based company is on an expansion roll, and Dallas is expected to be one of their hottest markets, says the Dallas group franchising the concept locally. Lines of customers often wrap around the block at THG openings, says a company spokesman.

While the Lemmon Avenue store is The Halal Guys first in DFW, The Hatch has learned that a second location is secretly under construction at I-75 and Spring Valley Road in Richardson. The Halal Guys expects to open that location by early October. The store will share space in a new restaurant-centric development that also includes a Hopdoddy burger bar. The Halal Guys additional stores in Irving and Arlington respectively.

The Halal Guys specialize in freshly prepared chicken and beef gyros, falafel and combination plates. Eat too much? Located right next door to the new Lemmon Avenue store is a Crossfit.
