Chef Chad Bowden lands at Abacus
Culpepper Steak House and Stirr chef Chad Bowden sends word that he’s landed behind the range at Abacus. Bowden was exec chef at Rockwall’s beloved Culpepper Steakhouse before decamping to Stirr in Deep Ellum. He exited Stirr shortly after the restaurant’s debut due to a dispute with the owners.
At Abacus, Bowden now serves as sous chef to Chris Patrick, the restaurant’s top chef.
“I have always loved that place and they were looking for a strong sous,” Bowden told the Hatch. “I know a bunch of people there and in the company, so it was just a good fit.”
