Moxie’s Grill & Bar skates into the Crescent with poutine, prime steaks and really good cocktails

A glam patio and an even buzzier interior space with high ceilings, high-top tables and high-energy music are the drinking and dining room options at Moxie’s Grill & Bar, the spiffy new interloper from Canada that’s planted itself at the Crescent.

Dallas Stars owner Tom Gaglardi owns the Moxie’s chain, whose restaurants are scattered throughout Canada, so it’s little surprise that executive chef Brandon Thordarson’s menu features poutine and fantastic cocktails (those Canucks need drink to stay warm), plus big pastas, fried shrimp wraps, solid burger options and glorious prime steaks.

Moxie’s has plans to expand across the U.S.; they recently launched weekend brunch at the new Dallas location, which means that if pancetta and aged white cheddar benedict might be on your modified Paleo diet, you know the place to go.
