Pack up the kids and grab your wallet: Botolino Gelato on Lower Greenville opens Tuesday, September 5


The new kid in town will make even your old kids very happy. Owner Carlo “Botolo” Gattini sent word to Hatch HQ that he’s ready to open the doors to Botolino Gelato, his artisanal gelateria, on Tuesday, September 5.

Gattini says everything about his gelato is made from scratch…well, maybe not the bananas or the dark chocolate, but he’s not using any commercial bases to churn his gelato (let’s agree to use gelato instead of the correct plural form, gelati).

You can check out Botolino’s flavors and Gattini’s long family history as gelato makers here, but the bottom line is this guy knows more than a little bit about making great gelato.
