Olivella’s owner launches El Famoso, a SoCal-inspired Mexican joint, in Las Colinas

Neo Pizza Neapolitan owner Charlie Green says he took inspiration from the Mexican street food of Southern California for his new El Famoso, a diner and bar he’s launching this weekend at Gables Water Street, a mixed-use development in Las Colinas.

The menu mixes SoCal Mexican food (tacos, enchiladas) with its American stuff like burgers, fries and bacon, adding a kitschy beachside decor because, of course, the development sits near Lake Carolyn.
