Whiskey Cake Kitchen and Bar officially opens June 4 in Las Colinas, but you can get in now. Here’s WYNTK.
A plastic straw-free Whiskey Cake Kitchen and Bar in Las Colinas officially opens June 4 (3225 Regent Blvd, Irving), but you can get in right now. Restaurateurs Jack Gibbons, Randy DeWitt and their Front Burner group opened their newest Whiskey Cake to the public today, though the official grand opening date is June 4. WC operations director Scott Sharrer and the rest of his team previewed their restaurant last weekend, where the EscapeHatch crew took a sneak peek.
The restaurant brand is known for its extensive, 400-label whiskey collection, its local sourcing of fresh ingredients (the herbs are grown in raised beds out front) and scratch cooking. To that mix, they’ve also stopped serving plastic straws and instead offer a compostable straw on request. The Whiskey Cake Las Colinas kitchen is in capable hands with Aaron Staudenmaier and Jeff Moschetti leading the troops.
“With the size of our restaurants our local farming commitments are really making a difference in the lives of our farmer partners,” says Sharrer. “We also make our own beef jerky, pickles, kettle chips, fries, and brine and sous vide many of our proteins.”
The restaurant is open daily for lunch, dinner and late night bites.
