Azucar Ice Cream Company churns some of the best ice creams in Dallas

Oh, man, these big-flavored scoops from new Azucar Ice Cream Company -Dallas are the only cure for this summer’s blistering heat. Owner Suzy Batlle and her mighty crew churn all their 30 scoopable flavors in small 5-gallon batches from scratch, using mangos from Batlle’s home in Miami, chocolate from local bean-to-bar wiz Five Mile Chocolate and Hill County milk and cream. Even with Boulevardier, Lucia and newcomer Macellaio in the neighborhood, Azucar Ice Cream Co. is the best reason to head to the BADlands of the Bishop Arts District.
