Dallas restaurateur Greg Katz to open Beverley’s, an all-day bistro on Fitzhough
Greg Katz, a former top F&B guy at Dallas Design District hotspots such as Wheelhouse and Sasetta, is striking out on his own with an all-day bistro in a gentrifying neighborhood close to downtown Dallas.
“Beverley’s is the name,” Katz told EscapeHatch a few days ago. “It’s not a deli though; it’s an all-day bistro and neighborhood cafe with lots of influence on the food from my upbringing.”
The restaurant is under construction at 3215 N. Fitzhugh Ave., in the former BJ’s NXS bar space.
No stranger to the kitchen, Katz worked for several years as a cook under Dean Fearing at The Mansion, then with Nick Badovinus followed by resto gigs at NYC’s Carlyle and Il Mulino. At Beverley’s, Katz says he’ll hire and collaborate with a day-to-day chef to develop and execute the menu.
Look for Beverley’s to open late this year or early next year.
