Today is Chicken Fried Steak Day in Texas (really), and the best CFS in Texas is served at The Ranch in Las Colinas

The Texas Legislature doesn’t get much right, but at least they understand the beauty of a good chicken fried steak. Thanks to a proclamation made years ago, today is officially Texas Chicken Fried Steak.

Where’s the best CFS in the world? Right here in the Dallas suburb of Las Colinas, at the Ranch at Las Colinas (just like we’ve told you before) and at their sister restaurant, Haywire, in Plano, Good meat, hand pressed with salt and pepper and flour, then cooked up crisp in an iron skillet.
