Shake Shack opens in Las Colinas, Southlake, DFW Airport today, with 10 more DFW locations in the works

Three new Dallas area  open today – and 10 more are planned for the area, a company insider tells EscapeHatch.

The three stores – one each in Las Colinas (pictured above), Southlake (top photo) and inside DFW International Airport – opened to the public today. Thyey all offer the standard Shake Shack menu our burgers, shakes, concretes and local beers but offer a few unique treats that will soon roll out across the U.S.

At the Las Colinas location, for example, new touchscreen kiosks in addition to standard counter registers make ordering a breeze. Those same kiosks are not available in Southlake, where orders are taken at a traditional walk-up counter/register.

Also new to the area are six and 10 piece chicken bites served with dipping sauces. They’ll be rolled out nationally in January, but the three new DFW stores offer them on the menu now.

We’ve also learned that 10 more stores are planned for DFW over the next couple of years. An already announced Shake Shack restaurant in the Fort Worth Stockyards district is planned to open mid-2019. What hasn’t been announced, though, is a Shake Shack location on Lovers Lane east of Preston Road, which a Shack employee told us should open next year, too, followed by a Shack in Carrollton/Farmers Branch.
