Pei Wei’s giving away free delivery this week on all orders to promote their new cauliflower rice bowls and orange chicken, but I cannot recommend this deal.

Pei Wei has jumped on the paleo/keto trend, introducing cauliflower rice to its spicy Asian bowls. And this week, from now through next Sunday, January 20, you can order anything on the Pei Wei menu (including the ccauliflower bowls) and have it delivered free.

Pei Wei says they make their cauliflower rice fresh each day, pulverizing whole heads of cauliflower on site. You can sub cauliflower rice for any rice dish, and fried cauliflower rice is an option.

Delivery is free through January 20 when you place an order online at peiwei.com or through their mobile app – no code necessary.

Update: I thought I’d give this offer a try, so I placed an order over the Pei Wei website. I was assigned a confirmation number and a DoorDash email confirmation as well.

But the order never came. DoorDash was good about texting me updates on the status of the delivery, beginning an hour before its schedule time, but instead of showing me the delivery address, it told me the order was delivered to the restaurant. When the order didn’t arrive 15 minutes after the scheduled time, I called the restaurant. The manager said DoorDash had not picked up the order and had no way to refund my money, referring me to DoorDash. DoorDash then said it wasn’t their responsibility either and couldn’t explain why the order wasn’t delivered.

So there you have it. My first DoorDash- Pei Wei delivery experience. And it’s not a good one. Is it Pei Wei’s fault? Yes, because they chose to partner with DoorDash.
