Dee Lincoln changing focus from burgers to steaks, opening a Dee Lincoln Steak in former La Duni space near Highland Park
Dee Lincoln is revamping her steak and burger concept again, dropping “burger” from the name of her new place, emphasizing steaks, and leasing another Uptowns site for her newly christened Dee Lincoln Steak Bar, which she’s now billing as “a casual steakhouse with prime cuts and gourmet burgers.”
The new Dee Lincoln Steak Bar will occupy the former La Duni location at The Shops of Highland Park in Dallas. (That’s the same space La Duni’s owner denied was closing when we asked her, but then soon announced it was closing.) Lincoln says she expects to open in the first quarter of 2015. Whispers say Lincoln has yet another space under negotiation, but details are sketchy.
Lincoln says the three locations of Dee Lincoln Steak Bar (Plano, Fort Worth and Oak Lawn) will have identical menus except for the chalkboard, which will be the “chef’s playground” at each restaurant for creative daily features including the fresh catch and butcher’s cut.
The Uptown location will remain a “Dee Lincoln Steak & Burger Bar,” with a menu containing more burgers, a selection of pizza and Sunday brunch service to be added in the coming weeks.
