FC Dallas intros new Toyota Stadium menu for 2019 with Gluten Free, Vegetarian, Fun foods
The folks at Toyota Stadium in Frisco say they’re serious about their fan food.
That’s the message stadium executive chef Rex Turner and FC Dallas owner Hunt Sports Club wants fans attending events at the MLS stadium to think each time they head to a game. FC Dallas kicks off its 2019 MLS regular season at home against the New England Revolution on March 2.
The new menu includes vegetarian and gluten-free items, plus affordable items such as nachos, turkey BLT sandwiches and “PK Dogs” – pastry-wrapped hot dogs.
Turner says he wants everyone who comes to the stadium to find something good that they can eat.
The new food menu at Market 469, the food counter inside Red Star Club, also offers gluten-free, and vegan and vegetarian items, including a vegan bowl with avocado, cauliflower and tomatoes dressed with balsamic vinegar. A vegetable sando spread with pesto on gluten free bread is another more healthy option.
For the rest of us, there’s shrimp tacos, a brioche bun stuffed with chimichurri-marinated roast beef, and turkey BLT croissants at Market 469. A number of stands throughout the stadium will also offer blackened chicken po’ boys, smoked pork ribs, taco salads and pizzas. Chick-Fil-A also operates a stand, but don’t look for their cluckers on Sundays because, as you know, the chickens don’t cluck on Sundays. But at least there’s liquor — with three new batch cocktails joining the mix.
