Alberto Lombardi Set to Open Tuscan Steakhouse
<em>From publicist Bill Armstrong:
Restaurateur Alberto Lombardi will make his first foray into the Dallas steakhouse wars with a Tuscan-style steakhouse called La Fiorentina.
Housed in the iconic former home of Chip’s Burgers on Cole Avenue in the Knox Henderson neighborhood, La Fiorentina will be an intimate, casual restaurant seating forty guests inside and thirty additional guests outside on a beautiful covered patio.
Arriving at your table, you’ll be served complimentary hot, fresh bread made daily in house, Italian olive oil and chopped tomatoes. Starters will feature a choice of two seasonal salads and two soups including a traditional house-made Tuscan bean soup. (Included in the price of your entrée)
Entrees will include a Petite Filet, a regular 8oz filet, 14oz ribeye and the traditional 27oz Fiorentina or porterhouse. Fish options will offer a whole roasted fish of the day and skewers of jumbo roasted shrimp plus other specialties.
Side dishes including vegetables, potatoes and a pasta of the day will be served family style and are included with the price of your entrée.
The wine list will offer a mixture of Italian and California choices. La Fiorentina will have beer and wine only.
Finally, dessert will showcase traditional Italian favorites. The projected opening date is the end of June AUGUST 2010.
UPDATE: A sokesman for Lombardi says the opening date has been pushed back until the end of August. And you know what that means..
